Not All 6900 Phones Are Compatible With MiVoice Connect. What You Need to Know.

As your favorite Mitel Platinum Partner, we will be addressing the issues with purchasing refurbished 6900 phones as it relates to compatibility with Mitel Connect.

Not all 6900 Phones are the Same

Not all phones are created equal, this is especially true if you are trying to use a 6900 phone that existed prior to Mitel Connect.  The reason you need newer phones is because you cannot replace the firmware on the older ones to be compatible.

Beware of Refurbished 6900 phones

Buying refurbished phones may seem like the way to go when only looking at price point but do not fall for this.  If you go the refurbished route and it turns out that the 6900 phones that you purchased are not compatible, you will have wasted a lot of time and if you are dealing with a vendor that doesn’t accept returns, you will be out of a lot of money.

This is not to say all refurbished phones are incompatible, but the risk is higher if you don't know exactly which 6900 phone you need and what to look for, or know the right questions to ask.
