Content Writer

 

Converged Technology Professionals is a B2B technology company that specializes in the consultation, implementation and support for business unified communications and contact center solutions as well as IT networking.  We work with businesses looking to improve their business communications to increase workforce efficiency and productivity, along with improving customer engagement.     Our dedication to delivering the highest level of excellence, expertise, and customer satisfaction has set us apart from our competitors in the industry.

We are looking for an experienced and creative content writer who has a love for words and effective communication skills, including a passion for the art of story-telling.  

The ideal candidate will have experience writing or working for pbx and cloud telecommunication providers.  You will work as an integral part of our internal and external content marketing initiatives.  You will be expected to become familiar with the products and services we provide so you can clearly articulate the proper messaging for targeting multiple industry verticals and market size segments.

The topics you will write about will cover communication technologies in a B2B context, and at times can get technical in nature.  You will be expected to conduct much of your own research beyond what you’ll be given from inhouse resources.   

We are a fast-paced company and the ideal candidate must be able to pivot on tasks and priorities and even messaging as necessary. 

You will work with the content manager on content outlines, tone and messaging.

Content types of what you’ll be working on:

  • Case studies (customer success stories)
  • eBooks
  • Whitepapers
  • Weekly Blog Posts
  • News and Press Releases
  • Email marketing (email sequences/drips, blast marketing, nurtures)
  • Landing Page content
  • Internal materials such as executive documents, letters, etc. as needed.
  • Additional sales material such as presentations, proposals, email templates
  • Assisting with creatives such as potential video scripts

Title: Content Writer

Employment Type:   This position is hourly full-time 40 hours.

Pay:   Depends on experience, expectations are $40,000 - $65,000. 

Responsibilities:

This role has a broad range of responsibilities.

  • Produce high-quality content that expresses our unique voice and branding.
  • Create a cohesive message through all channels and content types to stay on message
  • Contribute to developing an efficient team workflow process for content management.
  • Able to work independently with confidence, but with an awareness of and commitment to working together as a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to incorporate SEO practices into content writing
  • Gain a deep knowledge of our products and services to create compelling, audience-centric stories that resonate with the target persona.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing and content creation experience in tech or at an agency
  • A portfolio that shows strong strategic and conceptual execution applied across a variety of projects including web, digital, and/or video.
  • Content strategy experience a plus
  • Proven experience in cross-team collaboration, working across an organization as an effective project manager
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Extreme attention to detail and incredible copy-editing skills
  • The ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
  • An understanding of SEO keyword research and Internal Linking

Ideal to have:

  • Experience in a technical/communications field
  • Experience with Lead-Gen marketing campaigns
 

ShoreTel/Mitel Technical Account Manager

Hours: 8am to 5pm. This is a full-time position.

Location: Remote Office based ideally in Pacific Time Zone (West Coast)

We are seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our team. In this position you will serve as the "Bridge Between" us, our customer, and ShoreTel/Mitel, our on premise provider.  You will become fully versed in every aspect of the unified communications as a service solutions that we offer.  Ultimately, you will deliver these solutions and advisement to our customers.

We are highly flexible on experience and training. Finding an individual who is passionate, accurate, dedicated and dynamic is our goal.  A Technical Account Manager can come from a variety of call center, project management, sales and/or customer service backgrounds. What they all share is a passion for customer service and delivering excellence every day.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Liaison between Converged, the Customer and ShoreTel/Mitel
  • Provide Expertise, Consultation and Advisement to customers on their journey to cloud communications
  • Design and Document new ShoreTel/Mitel systems
  • Assist with First Day of Business Go Live Support
  • Monthly check-ins with customer to evangelize both Converged and industry leading products.
  • Special Professional Services projects for clients
  • On-Going Account Management
  • Assist clients on understanding the changing landscape and assisting the sales team in an sales engineering capacity as it relates to ShoreTel/Mitel.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in Sales, Project Management or Sales Engineering specific to Mitel/ShoreTel.
  • College Bachelors Degree or better.
  • 4+ years experience using a PC with various software packages.
  • Assertive, energetic, great attitude, dedication to excellence, ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time post the pandemic
  • Ability to work early and late when scheduled in advance
 

Other Desirable Skills

  • Basic understanding of networking
  • Experience with telephony systems highly desirable.
  • Quick, accurate typing ability; comfortable maneuvering through Windows and web based applications and enjoys learning new technology
  • Excellent communication skills including, articulation, grammar and persuasion, customer service, and interpersonal skills required.

Cloud Implementation Specialist 

We are seeking a Cloud Implementation Specialist to join our team. In this position you will serve as the "Bridge Between" us, our customer, and Ring Central, our hosted provider.  You will become fully versed in every aspect of the unified communications as a service (UCaaS) solutions that we offer.  Ultimately, you will deliver these solutions to our customers. 

We are highly flexible on experience and training. Finding an individual who is passionate, accurate, dedicated and dynamic is our goal.  A Cloud Implementation Specialist can come from a variety of call center, project management, sales and/or customer service backgrounds. What they all share is a passion for customer service and delivering excellence every day.

Hours:  8:30am to 5pm. This is a full time position.

Location: Remote Office based in Metro Milwaukee or Greater Chicago
